U-16's in Ballyshannon

the U-16 team travelled to Ballyshannon on bank holiday monday to play in the annual Alan Ryan/Seamus Grimes memorial tournament. The boys beat Ballycastle in their opening game and defeated Tuam of Galway along with Moytura of Mayo in the league section with Brian Doherty Corey O'Reilly Shea McKeever Odhran Doey Ultan Ward Ciaran Steele and Jaime McGlinchey all leading from the front in particular in poor weather conditions.
In the final of the tournament the Lynchs men played the host club Ballyshannon in a tight affair which seen Kevin Lynchs 2pts up at half time, however Ballyshannon who scored all their points from frees clawing back the defict to eventually run out winners on a score of 0-07 to 1-03.
Although the boys didnt win the tournament it will still be a good help to them as they start the league in a couple of weeks.
